People even made a song and a dance about it:

This made people wash their hands after touching anything! Carry anit-bacterial hand gel, throw away used tissues, cover their mouths with a tissue when sneezing or coughing and clean surfaces like door handles and remote controls to prevent the spread of germs!

The Leveson Inquiry

The Leveson Inquiry is investigating the role of the press and the police in the phone hacking scandal on the 13th of July 2011, and Lord Justice Leveson is chairman of the inquiry looking into the relationship between press and public, between press and police, and between press and politicians, and to make recommendations of a n new act being ethically sound but allow the press freedom.

This inquiry is important for society because politicians and police where allegedly involved in the phone hacking scandal, suggesting perhaps that we have a corrupt political system.

The inquiry will ensure to bring all evidence to light as it has the "power to summon witness under the Inquiries 2005 act." The evidence given under the oath and in public will give answers to British citizens who had their phone hacked.

Boardwalk Empire
In Boardwalk Empire the promo picture shows the characters walking around on the Boardwalk and it shows the different classes with in the TV series. The main character is wearing a tuxedo with a red flower botch. As only 'Nucky' is wearing a tuxedo, it shows how he is of a higher class than the rest of them as he is a very important figure of society within the TV show. The red flower of his jacket which has connotations of love and romance is heavily contrasted with his facial expression as it is very grave and serious. His gaze is focused on something else which could be representing him as deceiving or pretty secretive, this is a global representation of powerful people such as politicians and even football players as seen in the British society. However 'Nucky' isn't the only one that looks cunning, all the other people in the shot have those facial expressions and even the women are 'knowing who's behind them'. She seems to be shielded behind him which shows the stereotypes of the ideal typical man of them times of being a white, strong, dominating male, his fists are clenched which also show the aggression and authority. Everyone is standing at an angle which can show that no-one is straight forward and that it is a society where no-one trusts anyone. As it was set in 1920's America, the historical context proves that although the era had it's perks it also had it's negatives. Boardwalk Empire is based around the time of Prohibition so there was a lot of deception and criminal activity and this can be shown in this print platform. There is one African American in the text which shows how discrimination was present, he is positioned in the background connoting his lower class in society and how he is of less importance in the series. The mise-en-scene shows the boardwalk and the glitz and glam of the 1920's showing along with the text title
